The mercury in the UV lamp is excited by pressure, emitting the wavelength mainly on 254nm and 185nm. Unlike daylight and energy-saving lamps, the UV lamp is made of quartz glass, allowing the UV to penetrate the lamp pipe.
254nm is easily to be absorbed by creature’s body. The UV functions on DNA, leading DNA to be destroyed even to die. The UV in 185nm mixed the air could produce ozone, which is used to kill germs effectively.
